Hailing from all different points of Central Jersey, Perfect Crime is the new sheriff in town when it comes to rocking your socks to the back of the wall! Not only are these guys willing and able, they have a sense of moral ineptitude that prohibits them from ever being less rockin' than they already are! Actually, this group is rather humbled by any interest in their music and is very grateful towards anyone who has liked what they've done. They do not claim to be the greatest... But one thing is for certain; they can rock! If you come to a Perfect Crime show at some point, they want to guarantee you will have a good time. They will try their damnedest to provide everyone with a top quality performance as well as some actually good music. And that goes for anybody. Performing on and off over the past four years, Perfect Crime have played with a multitude of national as well as local acts, and can connect with almost any crowd. From from classic rockers Blue Oyster Cult to metal maniacs Skid Row to post-hardcore punks No Hollywood Ending, Perfect Crime can "make an impact" with all audiences.
Formerly from PerfectCrimeProductions.Com: From the roots of punk rock and heavy metal, an idea was thrust upon 5 men, like so many youths in this day and age. A deep passion arose between the men and the music, and a voice cried upon the earth. It said, "Let there be Perfect Crime!" That voice... was Gene Hackman's. And the men, well... they're just guys who like to play good music.
The band started in the early spring of 2003. Whilst coming up for an easy way out of English classes, a guy with a knack for shouting out lyrics (MIKE TUCKER) and a tall bass player (JOE PITONAK) decided they needed a way to channel their musical talent. They decided to go after what eventually became what we all know (and love) today. The guitarist was found in a side project during the winter (ED CICCHI), and the drummer was stumbled upon somewhere or another (ED "CIGAR" SIREGAR). These four men began Perfect Crime.
Actually, the group's first mark was different than the one that had been around for a majority of it's existence. It was under much duress that the Cicchi, as he is affectionately known, left the band before the summer of '03. Not much could be done about this, but it was then that a mutual friend, Tom "Monsteiro" Monteiro, to fill in the void. This worked rather well for quite some time. Only two shows, 30 covers, and legions of fans later, the band took a slight hiatus for the winter. Singularly, the guys did their best to play on their own. Practices were damn near impossible during the winter as the practice area was unheated and Jersey winters suck. By the time spring rolled around, the group was at an impasse.
Due to problems within the group, lack of practices, and general disagreement about the future of the band, Tom decided to leave. But there are no hard feelings. However, this left the rest of Perfect Crime with some shoes to fill. With not much left in them, there was a choice to be made. Either they would give up on the band and go get ice cream, or get a new guitarist. They chose 'Option B' (they got ice cream later). Since Cicchi was coming home from Albright University in May of 2004, he would be asked to re-join the group he helped originally form.
The original line-up returned to the garage and finished writing & recording material for their 5-Track Demo disc. It was recorded by Dan Skye at Skylab Studios in Highstown, NJ. Previously, the group was satisfied with their work. However, they feel that they've evolved tremendously since their original recording sessions from late August '04. Now, they look to re-record their older material and re-release it with some new stuff on a full length album.
Somehow over time, the group accumulated some fresh faces in the forms of GENERAL DEATHMACHINE 4000 and KAAN AKYOL, two guitarists that were originally intended to be fill-ins. However, on April 7th, 2007 - while opening for Quiet Riot - Perfect Crime officially inducted it's fifth member in its' new Guitar General.
Currently, the band is regrouping from the cold Jersey weather and back in the studio rehearsing for upcoming shows and writing some more original material for the not-too-distant future. Recordings at AARIUS Studios in Sayreville, NJ have been in session since early July of 2007. Until completion, keep your fingers crossed and help keep the scene alive by supporting the future of rock. Coming to a Jersey club near you, Perfect Crime is..
TEXAS MIKE O' SHEA (Tucker) on Vocals,
A.J. HOOLIGAN (Cicchi) on Guitars,
GENERAL DEATHMACHINE 4000 (GDM4K) on Guitars,

Perfect Crime is now on the Taste of Chaos BOTB's. We don't have a hell of a lot of faith that we're going to win anything, but what the hell? November 23
Foliage!
It's fricken' November already! We can't believe that we've been working on this album for a few months already, but the hard work (or lack thereof) is starting to pay off. The first few songs are pretty much done with the mixing process, and a few others are just in their infancy of the mixing stages. We've got a few new songs that we've decided to record and possibly include in the first pressing. We've all got some good song ideas and structures, so the past few practice sessions have been very inspirational to say the least. When we all get running and fire on all cylanders, we're hard to beat as far as work ethic goes. It's getting to that point that is kind of a pain.
The first four songs are "Perfect Criminals", "It's So Easy", "The 50's Song", and "Forgotten Memories (Power Ballad Time)". The mixes are pretty complicated for the first three, but the slow song is still pretty bare bones. I might be able to put one up soon, but no promises (as that wasn't the case last time). It would probably be "Perfect Criminals" as it came out pretty cool. The sound is insanely different in comparison to our first demos. The instrumentation is pretty similar, but we've all gotten better at our respective instruments, and quite frankly, the mix is way better. Looking back, I can't believe we were so satisfied with our inital product, but that's the perils of inexperience in the music industry.
Not to knock our previous engineers/"producers", but we got what we paid for. We didn't put enough cash into our projects to warrant a great sound, I guess. But whatever, we can't get too pissed about stuff like that because it's in the past and we're at another level now. And we're putting more money into it. So, that plus the fact that I'm trying to mix it myself, and I understand a little more about recording as a whole, makes the process a little easier and more fun.
That notwithstanding, we've played a little bit lately. We were at the Pony last month with Mean Venus & Smokin' Aces, which didn't seem like it was going to work out when it was suddenly booked (we didn't all really confirm that date), but it turned out to be a lot of fun. It was like a throw-away show that we didn't have time to practice for and didn't bother to make a set-list, but damnit we're professionals. Don't let anybody tell you different. In all seriousness, we got together one the week before and learned a new song in about an hour, so in that instance I think we did pretty damn good.
But it looks like we're going to be a bit stingier (is that a word?) as far as practices go. We've been really lazy lately on that end, and if we want to have these songs ready by the next time I go in to lay down a few drum tracks then we've gotta get off our asses and do something. It's difficult because we all have jobs and/or school that makes it not at all easy to get together on a regular basis. But we do what we gotta do, and we gotta get this stuff done. We're looking for the mastering process to be done before the end of the year, but at this rate we can't guarentee anything. It really depends on how quickly the mastering company can get our stuff back to us...
And on the merch front, NEW Perfect Crime shirts will in all likelihood be available way before the new album (haha). We've had a chance to take a look at the rough decal and it's looking pretty bad-ass. We'll have those out before December if our guy can give us the final draft within a week or so. But finally all you seething Perfect Crime addicted lunatics can get your dirty little paws all over some sweet official swag. And all you normal fans can get 'em too.
Also, we'd like to say congrats to our friends in the Zombie Mafia (featuring Perfect Crime's own Count Josferatu) for playing a great show opening up for the Misfits last week. It was a really good time, and while I personally missed their set (slave to the grind) I heard that they did very well. The rest of Perfect Crime was in attendance as told me they kicked ass. And from what I heard, the crowd reaction spoke for itself. However, now that they've done that show, we're taking Joe back so he can get these songs done.
As always, we'll keep you posted on all fronts. Thanks again for all your support and friendship, it's pretty cool. Hope to see ya all soon, maybe... at Starland? :)

April 14
Thanks to all who came out last Saturday night for our show with Quiet Riot! With your help we made it one of our most succesful shows ever. And because you all kick ass so damn much, we're gonna be back at Starland June 15th, opening again with our friends the Jersey Syndicate, at Skid Row and Slaughter! How cool is that? Get your tickets immediately, because quite frankly, we need to sell them! :-)
The next thing on the adgenda, however, is the next big show at the Saint in Asbury Park on April 28th. We will be the first band on that night because the VERY NEXT DAY, our pals THE ZOMBIE MAFIA will be playing almost an hour set (!) at Starland Ballroom warming up for Scatterbrain & Ludichrist! You might ask how this affects us.. Well, our buddy (and Zombie's lead singer) Kaan is playing guitar for us that night! Originally, we were scheduled for 12.30 AM, so take that into consideration.
In any case, visit the Zombie Mafia MySpace for some info on tickets, upcoming shows, and the release of their new EP, "Leave the Cannoli, Bring the BRAINS"! It's friggen' good, so go listen and support 'em! Otherwise, you know, they'll probably crack your skulls open and feast on the goo inside.
Anywho, after that, the next show is the debut of SMELL THE GLOVE on May 11th, which also happens to be Resurrection Joe's birthday celebration! It's gonna rock harder than your momma's steel toed boots. This is going to be a special night: Not only is it Joe's birthday, not only is it the debut of Smell the Glove, but it's also a Perfect Crime COVER NIGHT!
That's friggen' right. In honor of this brand new 80's metal tribute, we're going to do a very special, VERY RARE cover set. If you have anything you want to hear, e-mail it to us, and we'll see if we can get off our asses enough by the time this show rolls around to learn them. And the best part is.. It's 10,000% free! That's right, for a select few, we have special passes that will get you into this once in a lifetime event for NOTHIN'! Everybody else who's 21 & over (sorry, kiddies, it's the venue's rules, not ours.) pays a minor cover, but it's well worth your cash to see this OUT-OF-THIS-WORLD EVENT!!! However, if you want a free pass, call or write us. Let us know and we'll hang on to one for you, or even snail-mail it to you. Whatever ya like, baby!
And that's all for now. We'll keep you updated, as we plan on playing a few more smaller shows in the next coming weeks before the recording process begins! But, of course, if anything happens you'll hear it here first. We love you guys, and thanks for your ongoing support!
