THE PENNY DROPS BAND, a Calcutta Based Emo,ALternative,Punk band, started jamming out at Bo's(Drummer) little Rooftop room. They were in a search for a vox guy, after a couple of years of long search they came over Rob, whom they thought to be the perfect guy for the job. Earlier the band wanted to create a proper alternative sound, but from the time Rob got in, they're trying to create something broader than just alternative. They have started out working on originals based on emo and punk base. THE PENNY DROPS BAND can be counted among a couple of Indian Bands who are trying to create the real emo music. They and some other bands are ready to bring out an Evolution in Indian Rock scene.
