So as you may have read on the front page of our Purevolume entity, we have launched a very exciting and thought-provoking new Blog series. We've dubbed it, "Peachcake-A-Day" on account of the premise being that every day we will be adding some sort of quote, concept, thought, paradigm, lyric, or something of provocation for you to chew on, mull on and respond to.
The initial quote in the series is one I recently stumbled upon by a very prolific and fantastic author, Derrick Jensen, and it comes as an excerpt from his acclaimed book, "Endgame: The Problem of Civilization."
And it read as follows:
"If we do not approach it actively - if we do not talk about our predicament and what we are going to do about it - the violence will almost undoubtedly be far more severe, the privation more extreme."
Thank you Derrick Jensen.
I'd like you all to examine this quote carefully, consider it, see how/if/where it applies to you and feel free to respond in accordance with whatever conclusion you come to.
Have fun, and please, feel free to Re-post this anywhere, anytime, anyhow, and so forth...
The choice is yours. Choose heartfelt-ly. :)
Cheers, and Greatness Abound,
-Stefan
