Hey!
My name is Peter Brown, and I'm a third semester student at Berklee College of Music.
This Purvolume is meant to display varied works that I have written and produced for both school and my own purposes.
Enjoy!
Artist Bio:
Music has always been a part of my life. Being the son of a musician, I have been exposed to many different varieties of music since birth. After moving to a different state at the age of three, my grandfather gave my family his Steinway grand piano as a gift for both myself and my younger sister. Since the age of three, I have always possessed and utilized that outlet of creativity. Due to the nature of my fathers work, he would always ship out to sea every three months, leaving me to teach myself how to make music on my own with the piano. Using my fathers old lesson books, I was able to teach myself how to read music and play with both hands before taking formal lessons in the Second grade. I believe that this early solitary exposure to creativity has had an effect on my musical creativity now, and my musical "ear."
Upon entering the fourth grade, I started practicing alto saxophone. I continued my study until my senior year in high school. By that time, I had been first chair for two years in the concert band, and first alto in the jazz band for my senior year.
