Solo artist from Kamloops bc. One man and his guitar

Paul Filek First started playing the guitar late in 2002 as a joke for his friends at parties. The party songs soon turned into Pauls own passion and desire to write and perform his own music. After playing "searching", an original tune, for a buddy at his birthday party, Paul soon started getting regular gigs surrounding the kamloops area. In Feb of 2005 Paul released his first recordings as an artist. An acoustic demo entitled "Revising My Soul."
Later that year Paul Travelled to eastern Canada where he performed his acoustic ballads throughout many pubs and clubs. After three months Paul returned to kamloops where he started recording his first fully produced album with Henry Small (Prismn, The Guess Who, Antwhistle). In May of 2006 Paul released his debute album "Honest Songs From A Dishonest Heart." Within a matter of two months He was able to sell over 500 cds from the back seat of his car. Two songs have hit the air waves. "Toe Tappin love Song," a playfull tune that is guarenteed to make any listener shake whether you are eight months old or eighty-eight years young. His second single "One Love" shows Pauls true side as a hard hitting vocalist that will make any girls heart melt. He speaks of love, of honesty, and of life. "Paul Filek Came Late to the music business but his learning curve has been steep" KTW reported Dale Bass says after looking at his accomplishments only after performing for such a short period of time.
