Originally a four piece punk rock/emo band formed in the fall of 2002 hailing from Utica, NY, the lineup saw a change in the Winter of 2003, with the departure of vocalist/bassist Zach Stark, just months after their debut release, "LIFE DEATH ROCK". Re-formed with Dan Dellecese on vocals, Mike May on bass, and the two remaining members of the original group, Chris Dousharm on drums and Mike Santoro on guitar, POY once again dominated the central NY scene, with original members Matt Wilkinson and Zach Stark making seperate and brief returns to the band. In September 2004 the band released their second album, "The Every Scar tells a Story EP." POY's sound and energy have always been like nothing else. The rush of adrenaline in one performance is enough to draw you into their world of hard rock melodies, splicing guitar riffs and intense lyrical/emotional vocal power, as each band member draws from a wide array of musical influences.

After another much needed hiatus, Part of Yesterday is returning very soon, with some old faces still on board, as well as some new ones...
