Members: John and Sean
Park Holly is an acoustic pop/rock band made up of long-time friends John Valerio (lead vocals/guitar) and Sean Spollen (lead guitar/backup vocals). Hailing from the suburbs of Philadelphia, PA, the boys combine inspirational riffs with meaningful songwriting to craft their own brand of catchy, memorable pop songs.
The This Is My Head EP (2006) marks Park Holly's first official release after a series of well-received demos. This Is My Head chronicles Valerio's personal experiences with life and love as he knows them. Spollen, who also contributes to the song writing process, fills out Valerio's honest, acoustic pop rock songs with catchy lead guitar riffs and well-placed harmonies.
Local music lovers and venues alike are taking notice of Park Holly, who is receiving bookings at higher profile venues alongside celebrated local artists such as Matt Santry and Steve Laret. Valerio was recently featured in the Young Stars of Chaplin's showcase, a sold-out show at Chaplin's Music Cafe in Spring City, PA featuring local artists on the rise such as Lauren Adams and Funk Water. Park Holly has also received airplay on the Epicenter Internet radio show, which airs weekly and boasts over 7,000 listeners (www.theepicenterrocks.com)
Despite their current "long-distance relationship" - Valerio in PA and Spollen in NC - there is no lack of energy devoted to Park Holly by either member. Whether appearing as John Valerio's solo act or the full lineup with Spollen, Park Holly is picking up steam and poised to take the Philadelphia music scene by storm.
