Official Rules for the Macbeth Busy Schedule Contest

Macbeth and PureVolume.com have teamed up to premiere Macbeth’s new video “Busy Schedule” and is giving away 10 pairs of shoes to 10 lucky winners in the process.

No purchase is necessary. Head to purevolume.com/pages/macbeth-contest, watch the “Busy Schedule” video then enter your full name, email and shoe size into the entry form on the page. The contest will run from December 21, 2010 through January 20, 2011. Winners will be chosen January 25th and announced on Macbeth.com.

  1. Eligibility. Must be 13 years of age or older to be eligible to enter the Macbeth Busy Schedule Contest. NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO WIN. Employees of Macbeth or its affiliates are not eligible for entry. Void where prohibited by law.
  2. How to Enter. It’s really easy to enter. Contest begins on December 21, 2010 at 12:00 PM PST. To enter, watch the “Busy Schedule” video then fill in your first and last name along with email address and shoe size on the entry form, then click submit. Your last chance to enter is December 20, 2011 at 12:00 AM PST. One entry per person.
  3. How to Win. Ten winners will be chosen at random.
  4. Prizes.
    On January 25, 2011 winner(s) will be drawn at random and awarded the prizes below for him or herself and one guest:
    10 winners will receive 1 pair of Macbeth shoes. Shoe choices are subject to availability. If the advertised shoe is not available in the winners size, an alternate in style likeness and color will be chosen by Macbeth.

  5. Notification. Winner will be notified by email no later than January 30th. Once the winner has been selected the decisions are final and binding in all respects. Winners will be notified at the e-mail address provided to Macbeth on the contest entry page. If a potential winner cannot be reached at the email address provided to Macbeth and/or does not respond to Macbeth’s notification within 5 days from Macbeth’s first attempt to contact him/her, or if he/she is found to be ineligible, or if he/she cannot or does not otherwise comply with these Official Rules, an alternate winner will be selected, using the same criteria listed above. All entries become Macbeth’s property and will not be returned.
  6. General Conditions.
    All Federal, state and local laws and regulations apply to this Contest. Winners have the sole responsibility for all taxes (including, but not limited to, income taxes). Prizewinners may be required to execute (and have notarized) a liability release and a publicity release, which must be returned to and received by Macbeth within five (5) days after winner receives the forms. Noncompliance may result in disqualification and an alternate winner may be chosen. All entrants agree to comply with these Official Rules.
    All interpretations of the rules and decisions by Macbeth are final. Macbeth reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual it finds to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Macbeth site; to be acting in violation of these Official Rules; or to be acting in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner, or with intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person. CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT BY A PARTICIPANT OR ANY OTHER INDIVIDUAL TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY WEB SITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE CONTEST IS A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, MACBETH RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES FROM ANY SUCH PARTICIPANT/INDIVIDUAL TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.
    THE CALIFORNIA COURTS (STATE AND FEDERAL) SHALL HAVE SOLE JURISDICTION OF ANY CONTROVERSIES REGARDING THE CONTEST AND THE LAWS OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA SHALL GOVERN THE CONTEST. EACH ENTRANT WAIVES ANY AND ALL OBJECTIONS TO JURISDICTION AND VENUE IN THOSE COURTS AND HEREBY SUBMITS TO THE JURISDICTION OF THOSE COURTS. If, for reasons beyond Macbeth’s control, the Contest is not capable of running as originally planned, because of, for example, tampering or infection by computer virus, Macbeth at its sole discretion, reserves the right to suspend, cancel or modify the Contest, without liability.   7. Disclaimers. No responsibility is assumed for incorrect or inaccurate entry information, whether caused by a participant or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in this Contest or by any human error, which may occur in the processing of the entries to this Contest. Entrants agree that Contest shall not be liable for losses or injuries of any kind resulting from acceptance/attendance/possession and/or use/misuse of prize(s), participation in Contest, or any technical malfunctions of transmission line, computer on-line system, computer dating mechanism, computer equipment, hardware, software, or any combination thereof, or any entries that are late (including delayed data transmissions), tampered with, garbled, incomplete, misdirected, lost, mutilated, delayed, corrupted, mechanically duplicated, illegible or otherwise not in compliance with these Official Rules.
