nitially Outsmarted was founded as a skatepunk-band in 2003, but after a couple of shows and a few changes in their lineup, they finally found their style in fall 2004. More intense songwriting, aggressive shouts and catchy melodies set the tone of their varied Melodic Hardcore. After a lot of shows all around Austria, they recorded their first 4-track demo in June 2005 on Suspect Records and promoted it very successfully on their very first Tour support for the punkrockers of Rentokill. Further they played support shows for international bands like Hopesfall(USA), Tsunami Bomb(USA), Fear My Thoughts (GER), Stockyard Stoics(USA), The Change(SWE), Kid Down(SWE), Vanilla Sky(ITA), Boom Boom Kid(ARG) or Barcode(DEN). Time went by and after another year of playing shows all over Austria, the five boys from Steel-City went out for their second Tour in Spring 2007. This time together with Pasty Clan. Beside their high live activity, they spent their time in Armin Breuers "No Budget Studios", to record their first 7-Track-EP named "The Panic Theory". This record was released in October 2007 and contains - beside a brand new, reworked version of their evergreen "Breaking Out", 6 more completely unreleased scream-alongs full of energy, melody and Punkrock.
