Band from the middle of nowhere in the north of Holland. Between grass-lands and nature, a wide range of indiepop sees daylight: from intimate lo-fi and pure guitarpop to a wall of sound (live). Sometimes charmingly rattling, often alienating and full of melancholy, always stylish, warm and intense. After the summer of 2007 the debut album The Magic Tale of Flying Kite in the Animal Kingdom will be released.
The Magic Tale is an album full of indiepop written by a singer-songwriter. The record with 11 songs unfolds like a fairytale with hedgehogs, swallows and bats as characters, air balloons and flying-kites as silent walk-ons. Pure guitar songs full of false bottoms, sweet harmonies, wringing guitars, cut-upped pianos, stammering cellos, sweltering samples, cracking organs, duelling strings and subtle percussion with hammers. The album was recorded by Corno Zwetsloot (Zoppo, Blues Brother Castro, King Me, Green Hornet, audiotransparent) who also played mellotron. This summer the band is talking to record labels about the release of The Magic Tale.

What happened before...
With his roots in lo-fi Dutch singer-songwriter Eric Hoogeweg has found a band where his pure pop songs richly get dressed to warm, hi-fi indiepop. The first feat of arms of Orange Glow was the release of the well received indiepop single Sunken (2004). After the release of Sunken, the band started playing live regularly. In 2005 Orange Glow played the famous Eurosonic festival in Groningen (Holland), supported Hood (UK) and played with cool Dutch bands such as Whipster, Alamo Race Track and Blues Brother Castro.

Now the debut album is finished, Orange Glow will start playing live regularly after the summer of 2007. The live band will expand with extra musicians on violin, cello and synth/samples.
