If Orange Drink directed Michael Jackson's Thriller, we suspect Beck and Thurston Moore would somehow make a zombie cameo appearance.
Chicago based Orange Drink brings a freshness to the scene with their combination of art-noise rock, zombie funk, and dusty folk jams. While most genre-blending bands attempt to mix various styles into one melting pot, Orange Drink takes the exact opposite approach - they want you to be jarred awake by the diversity of influences they possess. Take each musical style, put it on a television channel, sit back and relax (or freak out) while Orange Drink flips the channels in ways you never thought possible.
Similarly, their unpredictable live performances venture into territory most other bands steer away from, incorporating scream-thrash aesthetics, performance art, breakdancing, puppeteering, and comedic skits. It's hard to imagine how anyone could pull off such impossible combinations, but there is only one band fearless enough to attempt these daring somersaults into post-vaudeville inspired rock, and that's unequivocally Orange Drink.
