A noble attribute often ascribed to professional athletes is their ability to play with pain. That certainly applies to the fiery Seattle hardcore rock band On The Last Day. Consider this particular road hazard: We were playing in Charleroi, PA this last tour, singer Geoff Walker recalls. And right at the end of Leaving the Citadel, [bassist] Aaron Johnsons headstock and my face crossed paths. He hit me and all I remember was thinking, "Thats gonna bleed." I awoke a minute later to Justin handing me a towel and a river of blood meandering across the stage from my nose. I had to get a CaT Scan and two X-rays because I had been knocked out. The doctor said I had no broken bones, but some of the cartilage was detached at the bottom of my nose.

Nevertheless, the band played on. We only missed one show two days later, and only because, due to the medication I was on, I had completely lost control of my diabetes and was admitted to yet another ER, this time in critical condition. I played the next few shows looking like I was turning into a werewolf because the swelling was so bad. There were two more clinic visits for swelling and an infection. News: 5-2-06 / New Record Title, Release Date, and more

We're down in Seattle working hard on the new record now. Everything is sounding great so far. We can't wait to get out on the road again. Which we will be doing with A Day to Remember and Dear Whoever starting in June. Locals should come out to our show at the Showbox in May before we leave.

We're happy to announce that our new record will be called "Meaning In The Static" and will be out on Victory Records on Halloween. Our bassist and resident artisan Aaron has created the cover. It looks like this:

News: 4-7-06 / Recording, Tour, TOC

Thanks to everyone who came out to the shows on our tour this March. Every show was a blast. Thanks to our friends in Fall From Grace and Stalin's War for making the trip with us. They made every night the best show of the tour.

Taste of Chaos was unbelievable. We owe that entire experience to our fans. It was your votes that put us there, and we are extremely grateful.

We started recording this week. Drew has been working hard on drums and hammering the new tunes out like a master. We're so excited for this record. We're still planning a Fall release with Victory Records. Stay tuned for more info.

Hey everyone.

We are proud to announce that we have just inked a deal with Victory Records. We start recording during the first week in April and should be releasing our first full-length record in the Fall.

Thanks to everyone for their support up to now. We owe so much to so many people. We can't wait to pay you all back with a brand new record.

News: 2-19-06 / There is no escape."

So. We've spent the last 3 weeks locked in a barn... with sheep... and a goat... working on new material for our full-length! The songs are coming out really rad. As a preview, expect them to be even heavier than the EP and just as full of melody.

Now, with that said, anyone who wants to hear some of these songs should come to our show on March 4th in Seattle, or to a show on our upcoming headlining tour with Stalin's War (bay area) and Fall From Grace (seattle). Check the shows to see when we'll be in your area.

We should have some big news soon... stay tuned.

News: 1.12.06 / Taste of Chaos! Music Video! Tour Dates!

Hello friends.

We made it. We're playing the Taste of Chaos in Everett, WA. The first thing we have to do is thank you all so much for voting for us to play Taste of Chaos and even more so for helping spread the word. There were so many bulletins. It was an amazing sight to see. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. We'll do our best to represent your votes well.

Now. As a thanks to all of you, especially those who voted for us but can't make it to the show, we put together a video compilation of live footage for you all to check out. If you've never been to a OTLD show, hopefully this will give you an idea of what it's like. To download it, right click here and choose "save as." We're headed out on tour again this weekend. Make sure to come out to the shows and say hi. We'll only be gone for 2 weeks this time. Then it's back home to get deep into preproduction for our full-length record. We still haven't landed with a label, but hopefully we'll have something to announce regarding that very soon. So the show in Oak Harbor was off the hook, i\'m glad
you guys still have it in you and that you\'re actually
poerforming for the smaller crowd that actually loves
you. Oh, and this saturday in El Corazon, I\'ll be
there with the same crew when you guys met us. (I was
there with my roommates, maybe you remember still Ben,
the guy with the tattoos :P)
