Odd End Out is a six piece Ska band out of Delavan/Walworth/Lake Geneva/Madison, WI. They play a selection of ska rarely heard in this SKA/PUNK world. Check out their live shows and see what everyone is talking about. Odd End Out started around December of 2004. It was a group of three kids, Anthony, Blaine, and TJ. They were just getting into the Ska sound and sure enough, experimented wth it and knew they were onto something. Soon after the band formed, they got a Trumpet player by the name of Adam Devlin. He was from Walworth, WI. Then they hit it off. Blaine and Adam began writing more and more songs to fill in their repetoir.....thus the legacy was born.
Lets go back a little ways, shall we? Blaine and Anthony have been playing together for nearly four years. They were, and still are, pretty big Blink 182 fans and they got together and covered blink songs frequently. The band that came before Odd End Out was called Caliber 55 which consisted of Blaine, Anthony, and their friend Kyle McCarthy. They wrote one song and was unable to find a drummer no matter how hard they tried. But because of growing musical tastes, caliber 55 became no more. Kyle moved on to forming emo bands, while Blaine and Anthony still wanted to play together. so after about 2 years of trying, they recruited Blaine's Brother TJ on drums. This was the Beginning of Odd End Out. Because of lack of attendance, the band made the decision of ridding themselves of Anthony, and gaining a saxophone player, Evan. They then went on to recruit their two new performists, Larry the new bass player, and Erika on 2nd trumpet. Larry decided he had too much going on, so we said so long, and now have a new, dedicated bassist that we're hoping to have for a long time. Ian, a freshman from Badger, will be filling Larry's shoes. He fills the shoes quite nicely. The newest addition to the band is the new erection..erm..boner..erm..trombone..player..Kenny. Kenny and Ian are best of friends *wink*. Erika got pretty sick and had to concentrate on getting all of her schoolwork done from missing about half of a year, so she said farewell to the band. Shortly thereafter, after an emotional night, Evan was removed from the band. They have the heart to succeed and will win over America, one heart at a time. Odd End Out is well on their way to being America's top Ska band, and have had many shows with a variation of different bands, from punk to hardcore. Prepare yourselves and tell your parents we're taking over!
