NUDE is a piercing power trio who collided on the streets of Hollywood in the spring of 2004. Their sound is one of powerful indie-pop hooks, smooth harmonies, and memorable melodies, all of which are driven by propulsive human-grooved beats.

At the bands inception Tony Karlsson moved from Gothenberg, Sweden all the way to Hollywood with little more than a guitar in hand. This is where he soon met Kevin Brown fresh from a farm town in rural Northern California and Los Angeles local Bobby Amaro. The three hit it off instantly and collaborated to write some of the freshest, most creative pop songs to date. Within only weeks the band had defined their unique sound, and had established themselves around town as a great live act. Within only six months NUDE signed with LA indie label Audiowhore Records and began production on their full-length debut album titled Sunshine-Baby. After teaming up with acclaimed producer John Avila (Oingo Boingo, Reel Big Fish) the album was finished in just over two months and was released in April of 2005.

Just over a year later, with the help of loyal fans and friends, the band self-recorded and produced their EP Science& Heaven. The four-track album includes the song You which was soon made into a music video under the direction of Mike Korbic (Coheed and Cambria).

Still a young band, their multi-cultural backgrounds are also one of their most charming qualities. Their musical influences range from Placebo to James Brown, and The Pixies to the Swedish anti-rock outfit Ebba Gron. The music is fun, high energy, and appeals to a varied and broad audience. When asked to sum up a mission statement, the band produced a piece of scratch paper scrawled with:

A long, long time ago, I can still remember how the music used to make me smile. And I knew if I had my chance that I could make those people dance, and maybe theyd be happy for a while.

updates!

Hey Everybody!!

We just wanted to let you know what's been up these days

The biggest thing would probably have to be that we are relocating! Yup, that's right we are moving ourselves to Tony's homeland, Sweden this Saturday. We will be there recording the new album for at least a couple of months. We hope to play some awesome shows in Europe while we are overseas.

Speaking of the new albumwe've been working hard for countless weeks perfecting songs and pre-recording them. It's going to be a great album for sure, so make sure to grab it when it comes out this spring. You won't be disappointed!

From Sweden, our next stop will be Japan, and we are super excited to get out there. As for the rest of the year, we hope to hit up Mexico again, as well as plan out a full U.S. tour. So many people ask us why we are already playing shows in other countries when we haven't even played the States yetour answer is to hang in there and we will get to you as soon as we can!

Wish us luck with everything we have planned, it's going to be an awesome year for NUDE. Keep telling everyone you know about us and spreadin the love ;] And you should be looking forward to the new album!!!

NUDE UPDATES!

Hey nudists!

So a lot of things have been happening lately for NUDE. We're doing as much as we can while our band is in two different parts of the world.

For those of you who don't know, NUDE's guitarist and singer, Tony, has been home in Sweden for the past 6 weeks or so. We are expecting him back in Hollywood soon!

We also have gotten our official site nude-sound.com up and runnning. It looks pretty great! We've also been updating our myspace profile. For example, we just put up a new song off our EP called 'Other Side.' Let us know what you think!

In addition to all that, we finally got our e-team up and running, please check that out and join if you are really down for NUDE! we can always use your help!

In big news, we have some new merch!!! In many more sizes and colors! In fact, we know that every single person who reads this would love to own a t-shirt, a hoodie, a hat, or even a pair of cute underwear bearing the NUDE logo. Trust us, people always give compliments on our merch.

And if you don't already own them, make sure you order either or both of our CDs. We have a full-length album called 'Sunshine-Baby' and a 4-tack EP called 'Science & Heaven.'
