For the uninitiated, Nuclear Saturday comes as a breath of fresh air in a largely image oriented, ego driven, and superficial musical landscape. They don't care for labels or genres. Their diversity and dexterity as musicians is their focus. Rather than riding on the coattails of whatever fad may be "in" at the time, they have striven to deliver music that is honest, heartfelt, and genuine. Their sound is amalgam of their collective influences ranging from AC/DC, Green Day, and The Descendents to The Beach Boys, Stevie Wonder, and Tom Waits. From unabashed punk anthems such as "Smell The Glove" and "My Back Hurts" to the subtle, yet powerful verses of "The Boat Song" and "In The End", Nuclear Saturday is showing that genres can be surpassed and formulas were meant to be broken. . Forming in 1997, the foursome, consisting of Brandon (Vocals/Guitar), Marc (Guitar, Vocals), Jace (Bass, Vocals), and Tom (Drums, Vocals), have proven their resiliance with several national and regional tours with some of the biggest names in independent music. Countless compilation appearances and two studio albums have put them on the crest of a new wave that is bound for the steroes of America. The last year has been especially exciting, after a triumphant appearance at the Atlantis Music Conference, they appeared in a Virgin Mega-Magazine cover story which called them "The Next Green Day". These fellas are assembling a team bent on bringing their vision to the masses.....and they are!
