Surely we chose this name for a reason. Though it is in some ways intended to convey our particular ideologies, perceptions, and peculiarities, we hope it to more poignantly reflect our philosophy in the writing, playing, and experiencing of music. We hope to always write like the egar six year old; idealistically, through with a keen and subtle regard for practicality. Could we identify with a genre? To claim ourselves under the banner or ROCK would be to use what is likely the most ambiguous word in the English vocabulary. As such, we just want you to know our experiences, our approach, our mentality, and our aspirations. Collectively we have been playing our instruments for over thirty years, have performed countless shows in various states, recorded several releases, and established a firm company of endlessly charitable supporters in the Greater Bay Area. But, just as importantly, we have made mistakes and had conflicts, and can have learned that inspiration will find you as it chooses; that music can only be written for a moment, not a deadline. We have learned to never forego the call of impulse in creation: to make music that is spun from one idea to another, rather than an end in itself. And most of all, we hope to make music that "radiates with the light of His face"*. -Now We Are Six
