not sure if anybody still checks out this page - i regrettably have been slacking off in the update and promo department for my purevolume account.
in anycase, i am alive and well and still creating music. been very active with my current band, Pilots of Dawn. the musical venture has proven to be quite revitalizing from a songwriter's standpoint. been trying out different sounds, different approaches - it's been great.
my newest venture is a strange one as it involves revisiting the past. i've been going through my old catalogue of songs for the november skyline project and have decided to rework a bunch of them and update them.
if all goes well and when time permits, i may take november skyline back to the public again and do a series of acoustic shows. but we'll see how that unfolds.
anyway, if you are still visiting this page, many thanks for your continuing support. you guys and gals rock.
peace.

Hey boys and girls!
Yes, I'm still alive and well. Had quite the dry spell in the songwriting department for the past several months, but thanks to some very inspiring jamming sessions with the Barley brothers (friends of mine from back home), my creativity has returned.
Lately i've been listening to a variety of music, but the common ingredient present in all the songs i've been listening to has been that ability to make the listener groove to the rhythm of the music.
Having said that, my first lyrical song after my hiatus is appropriately named "The Rhythm".
The lyrical theme continues from my experiment with "The Seduction"--the lyrics are very sensual, touching on the sexual side of the human experience, an aspect of lyrical writing that Ihaven't delved into too much in my prior songwriting. The combination of the bass line and the drum/breathing sample offers a solid rhythm that is catchy, while providing a good foundation for the lyrics to soar and build an atmosphere that exudes the thrill of passion that exists between two people strongly attracted to each other. '
The delivery of the vocals is subtlely "rap-like", keeping the vocal melody to a minimum to allow the layered guitars to drive the song, as well complimenting the percussive/rhythmic nature of the tune.
The guitar solo is lifted from a previous song that was abandoned a couple of years ago that I had intended to finish, but never was able to write enough progressions.
Anyway, i hope you all enjoy the tune as much as i did making it.
I hope to offer more insight into more of my compositions. I'll explain the thinking behind "A Minor Untitled" next time!
cheers

Hey Everyone!
I hope everyone is doing well. I'm pleased to announce that a new collaboration effort is in progress at the moment between November Skyline and UK band, World is Static.
At the moment there is an "untitled" instrumental on the page. That track will hopefully soon feature vocals from World is Static vocalist, Heather Davies. I will keep you updated on this exciting new project.
Cheers
