NoNseNsE is a 4 piece alternative surf punk band from Crofton/Davidsonville/Edgewater Maryland. There a band that believes in the purest since music is about having a goodtime, and some musicians take them selves too fucking seriously. They started out in May 05' when guitarist Shaun Given hooked up with Drummer Nick Hatton. These two like the rest of the band all came from diffrent tastes and styles of music. They decided to start the band as a side project but, as there main projects fell to pieces the band became a main pryority. The two were on the hunt for a bassist and after about 1 week of being in the band they found it's leader Chris Turner on bass. The band spent time in the summer getting use to playing together and polishing themselves. The 3 went through a various line-ups of guitarists/vocalists till they found the vocal stylings of complete and utter rookie frontman Arthur Natishan. Arthur was a drummer who probably never saw himself as the lead vocalists of a completely out there band. The bands line-up was in place. Now just to find a sound. The band is made up of 4 complete diffrent people with 4 complete diffrent musical stylings and prefrences. Arthur was more into older aggressive punk, where Chris found him self leaning towards pop punk and 90's alternative. Shaun was out there. His CD collection consisted of everything from pop punk, reggae, ska, rap, funk, but mainly 90's alternative. Nick was probably the biggest black sheep of the bunch. Listening to mainly Classic Rock and Classic Metal. Funny enough, the music seemed to write it's self. The band has never had musical issues. The band just wrote there songs and all seemed to enjoy it. There lyrics range from everything from, boredom, anger, hating hippies, your mom jokes, and S & M. The band crowned there sound alternative surf punk. The one thing the band members seemed to love most about this band was the personal connection they share. They would fight like cats and dogs and still would not affect them personally. They had this brother like bond that came very quickly inspiring there first recording and song "Family Affair". The band truely does have love for each other. They don't see themselves breaking up anytime soon and untill it's over there having a goodtime and that's all that matters.
