Orlando Rock Band New Self High Are Guilty of Getting Fans Buzzed Both on and offline, New Self High and their fan bases are building momentum for themselves, and as they continue to top music community charts online, even being nominated for a Golden Kayak Award by the Independent Artists Company for Best Metal/Hardcore Song, their style of diverse and intense music is now garnering them International acclamations in some major German Rock Magazines with new distribution contracts in the GSA.
ORLANDO, FL., March 18, 2008 - Feast your eyes and ears on one of the top rising hard rock music artists in the world, NewSelfHigh. Spearheaded by front man Rob Mulligan, the NSH movement has attracted international attention from all aspects of the music industry. NewSelfHigh signed a deal with Dead Famous Management/Records, went into Crush studios Orlando and emerged with an album that breaks from tradition with today’s music world.
Delivering intense vibes and blunt messages wrapped around some great hooks, NSH steps out of the cookie cutter industry yet can still fit in with the scene today. Upon release earlier this year, NewSelfHigh’s full-length album "…with Love and Scars" has garnered themselves a buzz overseas with the European Rock magazines giving them rave reviews. The explosion of publicity landed them additional members to the team, in Fontana Distribution (an arm of Universal Records) in Canada, Radar Music in Germany and the GSA territories, Koch International and Nightmare Records in the U.S., for physical distribution of the album.
Digital distribution has already begun, making the album available just about everywhere on the internet where it’s currently selling and charting on iTunes, eMusic, Puretracks, iMesh, Yahoo!Music, Zune, FYE, Samsung, Road Runner Music, and many others.
Music fans drove NewSelfHigh to top of the charts in their genre as well as other genres on several music community sites like Mp3.com, UBL, IAC, Pure Volume, Famecast and many others, resulting in NSH being featured on the front page of ArtistDirect.com, as well as being nominated for a Golden Kayak Award with the Independent Artists Company for Best Metal/Hardcore Song. With internet album sales rising, NewSelfHigh’s music added to its acclaim with two songs finishing in the quarter-finals and one finishing in the semi-finals at OurStage.com. (PRESS RELEASE – FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE)
Their Fan’s insatiable appetites for the band’s diverse and intense music can now finally be satisfied by tuning into XM satellite radio and various internet stations where they are being played and placed into regular rotation. As they continue their to rise to the top, festival performances and tours for the U.S. and Germany are being slated for late 2008 and early 2009.
NewSelfHigh seems to be on the horizon of Stardom, as music fans internationally are recognizing their creativity, brutality, honesty, dedication, and talent which continues to add to their momentum. You can check out all that is going on with the band by visiting their blogs, links, reviews, chartings, etc., by visiting the bands MySpace page at www.myspace.com/newselfhigh or simply Google: NewSelfHigh.
By the time you finish reading this, NewSelfHigh’s album will be rising further in the ranks on all charts And this seems to be only the tip of the iceberg for NewSelfHigh,, but it comes to no surprise to their large fan base that is growing by hundreds every day.
Despite all their continuing success, the band pledges not to embrace the rock star mentality and attitude that, "I’m better than you." As front man, Rob Mulligan put it, "We don’t consider anyone a fan, because we love our fans - they’re simply part of our extended family! Come out to the shows and let’s chill, grab a drink & hang out. Welcome to the NewSelfHigh Family."
