Lakeland, Florida's
Terra Terra Terra are gearing up to drop their sophomore album,
The Space We Create, and from the looks of it, it's poised to be their most personal effort yet. Today they're premiering album-track "Burn"—and as bassist
Matthew Lowry notes, "If you want a song that showcases us as a band, this is definitely one to hear."
Starting off like a whisper and progressing to a quiet roar, "Burn" depicts a story of fighting to regain lost love. Swelling instrumentals push through delicate vocals to create a sound that strikes a balance between tired emotion and unwavering hope, while a relentless passion soars above the whole thing.
"It has quiet, intimate moments, a huge chorus and this great
Killers-esque guitar riff that I love," Lowry continues. "It also has one of my favorite lyrics from
Loren [
Taylor; vocals/guitar]—"I'm no lover, but I'm trying to learn..."
