EXCLUSIVE: Watch Stornoway's "The Making of 'Tales from Terra Firma'"

Named after a Scottish town on the Hebridean Isle of Lewis, eclectic British folksters Stornoway released their acclaimed second album, Tales from Terra Firma, last March on 4AD.

Mostly written in a camper van parked in their hometown of Oxford, England, the album covers such heavy terrain as birth, death, marriage and coming of age, though all with their charming sincerity, sweet harmonies, and sparkling arrangements, recalling the best of Belle and Sebastian, Teenage Fanclub, and Mumford and Sons.

Premiering exclusively today on PureVolume is an in-depth look behind the songwriting and recording of this album — watch "The Making of Tales from Terra Firma" above.

Tales from Terra Firma and the just-released You Don't Know Anything EP — which contains additional recordings from the Terra Firma sessions — are both available now through the band's official webstore and iTunes.
