PureVolume's
weekly charts reflect the site's most-played tunes over the course of the previous week. Every Monday morning, the Week tab on our Top Songs page ranks artists by the most-played jams. Our champion chart-toppers from the week of Dec. 5-11 are:
1) Artist vs. Poet: The trio
premiered their excellently diverse
Naughty or Nice EP on PV, featuring covers of Blink-182, N'Sync, and Ben Folds, along with one helluva original Christmas song. No wonder they won the week.
2) The Maine: Is it any wonder that, on the release week of the insanely anticipated
Pioneer album, one of the biggest PureVolume bands not only stuck on the charts for a
second straight week but nabbed the next-to-top spot? Nope. Listen to three tunes from the new album
over at their profile.
3) Cider Sky: The
Twilight: Breaking Dawn soundtrack darlings released a
free remix of their tune "Glowing in the Dark." You downloaded, you danced, you cranked Cider Sky into the Top 3.
4)
The Scene Aesthetic: This heartmelting duo
premiered their new EP The Days Ahead right here. Suffice to say you got how gorgeous it is.
5)
Asteria: "Ribbons & Bows" is, hands down, one of our favorite new original songs of the 2011 holiday season -- which nabbed it a PV
premiere and a spot on our handy
Holiday Playlist. Do your favor and spin it. The merriment will consume you.
