Happy first Saturday of 2013! Welcome back to our PV Week in Review, where we take a look back at the top features and stories to hit our main page Monday-Friday. From exclusive video series with Irish-punk icons and Fan Q&As with pop-rock favorites to a surprise EP, we're thinking this year is certainly off to an epic start.

Dropkick Murphys Launch Signed and Sealed in Blood Video Series + Contest: In honor of the iconic outfit's upcoming Signed and Sealed in Blood, we've partnered up with a handful of friends to launch an exclusive track-by-track video series. We started things off with album opener "The Boys Are Back" and threw in a fun contest for good measure. The series will continue into next week and (hint, hint) you might want to check back on Monday for a very special full album treat.

Forever the Sickest Kids Take the PV Fan Q&A (Part One): What's the weirdest fan encounter Austin Bello's ever had? Why is Caleb Turman hopelessly devoted to Nando's Chicken while touring? And when will you get to spin a full version of "We Are the Guardians"? The boys answer this, and more, in the first part of our PV Fan Video Q&A!

METZ's Alex Edkins Takes the PV Q&A: Whatever you do, don't call Canadian grunge rock trio METZ a "nostalgia act." In this exclusive interview, frontman Alex Edkins explains why he finds the title "lazy and not quite on the ball" and reveals why the band's live shows are very much akin to blackouts.

PK Launch PV Sessions ft. "Some Nights" and "London": The California-based indie-rockers win us over with warm renditions of hit single "Some Nights" and buzzworthy tune "London" in part one of their PV Sessions.

Escape the Fate Sunset Strip Takeover/PureVolume Afterparty with Caleb Shomo DJing: On January 6, Escape the Fate will be taking over Hollywood's Sunset Strip with a free show, followed by a very exclusive, 21+ after-party presented by PV! There will be pizza, there will be prizes, tunes will be spun by Caleb Shomo (formerly of Attack Attack!), and the band themselves will be mingling with the crowd. Want in? We've got the password needed for entry.

Claude VonStroke Takes the PV Q&A: The LA-based DJ and owner of San Francisco's Dirtybird Records is going to ring in 2013 on a boat—actually, a HOLY SHIP!! Already poised for an exceptional 2013, the artist sounds off on the other things set to contribute to the year's success . . . like his ability to juggle both touring and a label.

Skrillex Releases Surprise EP, Leaving: Leave it to Skrillex to surprise fans with a brand new EP within the first three days of the new year. You can do the right thing and buy it . . .  or you could just stream it in full thanks to YouTube.

Terra Terra Terra Premiere New Song "Burn": The Lakeland, Florida trio are getting personal on their forthcoming new album, The Space We Create, and they prove it with new tune "Burn."

The Cribs Drop Previously Unreleased Track "Leather Jacket Love Song" (Last with Johnny Marr): The Cribs have finally dropped an audio track of "Leather Jacket Love Song"—the last tune they recorded with Smiths legend Johnny Marr. The song makes its physical release thanks to a 22-track compilation album the band will be releasing, but the track itself is yours for the hearing now.

Bring Me The Horizon Release New Single "Shadow Moses": Want the first taste of Bring Me the Horizon's upcoming new album, Sempiternal? Right . . . we figured you would. Feast your ears on this stream of "Shadow Moses."

Diplo's One-Day Helicopter Tour + Major Lazer's Caribbean Boat Trek: Oh, you know, Diplo's hitting four major cities in one day by way of helicopter, no big deal. And then, one day later, Major Lazer's heading out on a five-day Caribbean boat tour. And the award for "Most Insane Tour Route" goes to . . .

Vampire Weekend Announce New Album: That's right folks, Contra's getting a follow-up. It might not have a name yet, but it's expected to come out as early as this spring, so we think it's fair to begin your celebrations.
