PureVolume's
weekly charts reflect the site's most-played tunes over the course of the previous week. Every Monday morning, the Week tab on our Top Songs page ranks artists by the most-played jams. Our champion chart-toppers from the week of April 30 - May 6 are:
1) Dakota Drive: This acoustic act is no stranger to our top charts, but this week marks their official debut at No. 1. It looks like that full
EP stream and download they offered up this past weekend brought fan-favorite "Save Me (All The Hope)" even more of a following.
2) Gossip: The soul-punk trio is bringing some glitz and glamour to our top charts with their RAC remix of"Perfect World". Having
premiered only a few days ago, this tune danced its way straight to the top with impressive haste.
3) Carridale: These North Alabama boys make an impressive debut on our charts with the opening track off their
newly released,
The Wandering EP. With its soaring pop-punk melodies and building instrumentals, it's not a shock "Dragging the Coast" became an instant fan-favorite.
4)TheWay.: These UK-based indie-rockers make their chart debut with the sunny track, "One Time Round". And if its feel-good vibes won't get you on your feet, its free download offer is sure to do the trick.
5) Automatic Me: These California rockers return to our charts with previous chart-topper "The Resistance". And while the song itself hasn't hung around our charts since
February, the band haven't been off our charts entirely -- their other single, "Here's To Now", rounded out our charts
a few weeks ago.
