PureVolume's weekly charts
reflect the site's most-played tunes over the course of the previous week. Every Monday morning, the Week tab on our Top Songs page ranks artists by the most-played jams. Our champion chart-toppers from the week of April 2-8 are:1) Alone At Last*:
This Indonesian hardcore band are not only making their own debut on our charts, but they're marking the first time any foreign band has landed our top spot. It's a very impressive feat, considering the other talented folks that make up this week's top five, and an exciting testament to PV's always-expanding foreign audience.2) The Picture Perfect:
These pop-rockers struck all the right places in your heart with their new single, "Lovestruck." Between its insanely catchy melodies, and that generous free download
offer, we're not surprised to see it take them straight to the top -- and to their PV chart debut.3) Fall of Eden:
At this point, it's more or less official that you can expect this Illinois death-metal quartet to grab one of these top spots. This week will mark their fourth
week in a row on our charts
, and the second in a row they've placed for powerhouse jam "I Am Vengeance." Band to watch out for? We think so.
: This newly-formed, pop-rock duo are here to prove that life after American Idol is still very sweet. The Season 10 contestants are now rocking our charts with their new single, "Take," which they offered up as a free download
a couple weeks back.
5) Move Out West
: This pop/rock trio rounds out this week's chart with their highly-anticipated new single, "All My Life." Not only did the boys premiere
the song a few weeks back, but they followed it with an exclusive video
interview and studio tour. We'd say that deserves top rankings any day.See last week's chart
