PureVolume's weekly charts
reflect the site's most-played tunes over the course of the previous week. Every Monday morning, the Week tab on our Top Songs page ranks artists by the most-played jams. Our champion chart-toppers from the week of March 26 - April 1 are:1) The Used:
After months of endlessly teasing Vulnerable
, the new album finally dropped [March 26] and we all found that it was very worth the wait. The guys premiered
"Machine" with us, and the bonus track had you all feverishly spinning and re-spinning. We're not shocked it drove them straight to the top of our charts.2) Dakota Drive:
These Minneapolis alt-rockers make an impressive debut on our charts with their sweeping, acoustic number "Save Me (All The Hope)." With its gorgeous vocals, crashing percussion, and one driving electric guitar solo, we can't say we blame you for spinning this number straight to No. 2.3) WEATHERSTAR:
Let it be known that generosity coupled with an eclectic handful of tunes will get you places. Just ask this genre-hopping artist who shared his new EP
, Out In The Rain
, with us and offered two tracks up for download. EP opener "Breaking My Heart" apparently did the opposite for all of you, and landed itself a solid spot right here.
4) Never Shout Never:
The boys are back for a second week's stay on our charts. They were here last week
for "Simple Trance-like Getaway," but it's their new song "Robot" that's secured them this spot. The song was offered up as a free download
along with their tour giveaway. Get those tweets in and you could be seeing these chart-toppers live.
5) Fall of Eden
: This Illinois metal band proves they're not going anywhere, rounding out our top charts for the third week
in a row. While they initially soldiered through with "Warrior," they're brought here this week with the powerhouse track "I Am Vengeance."
