PREMIERE: Listen to New Years Day's New Album 'Victim to Villain'

New Years Day is releasing their anticipated second full-length album Victim to Villain on June 11 ... but you get to listen to it exclusively here today on PureVolume.

Led by the absolutely dynamic and charming Ash Costello, the Orange County, Calif.-based alt-rockers sought the assistance of producer Erik Ron (Panic! at the Disco, Saosin) for Victim to Villain, which also features a guest apperance by Motionless in White frontman Christ Motionless on track "Angel Eyes." (And Costello lent a hand for Motionless in White's new video for "America" as well!)

"When we hit the studio with Erik Ron to start writing last summer, the theme and idea for this album came almost immediately," explains Costello. "I was dealing with so much at that point in my life. I felt like I had to make a choice to wake up in the morning and stop being the victim to it all and start owning my power and let my inner villain come out. The album follows that story, the transformation, and the satisfying vengeance that comes along with it. The direction is heavier and darker but still has that hauntingly weird and fun vibe that we have become known for. We have so much in store visually to go along with the record, especially between now and the Warped Tour—this tour is going to become known as the 'death of the party'!"

Stream Victim to Villain in its entirety below (and pre-order it here!) and catch New Years Day on the Vans Warped Tour all summer on the Tilly's Stage.
