Motion City Soundtrack are cranking up the nostalgia for all you Rilo Kiley fans with a stream of their new "Pictures of Success" cover. We've got to hand it to 'em, they did this classic indie jam much justice. Frontman Justin Pierre croons Jenny Lewis' lead vocals with conviction and newfound passion, and the band as a whole make this their own by stripping the song down yet another notch, utilizing tinny guitars and minimalistic piano bits.
The cover will be featured as the bonus track on the digital release of MCS' Making Moves 7" — the final installment of a six-part series that saw the band collaborating with Drexel University. The 7" will be released November 6 and is available for pre-order now.
