Since releasing Hypnotic Nights back in July, JEFF the Brotherhood have been winning crowds over with their creative fusion of psych, punk, and garage rock. Yet for all the intricacies their music offers, real-life brothers Jake and Jamin Orrall are relatively simple guys. In this exclusive video interview, they share the secrets behind this "simple complexity," admit there's a downside to starting a band with your brother, reminisce about their youth spent playing around in the studio, and reveal the particularly not-so-great experience they had working with producer Dan Auerbach (the Black Keys) on the new album (this bit starts at the 2:09 mark).
Watch the interview above, and if you're not yet familiar with their eclectic, raw sound, stream Hypnotic Nights' "Staring At The Wall." Like what you hear? Then tune into Conan tonight to watch the duo perform it live. Today also marks the launch of their fall/winter tour with Delta Spirit and FIDLAR, so there are plenty of upcoming chances to catch them live.
