The Billboard Top 100 charts has a new ruler, and its name is fun. More specifically, it's fun.'s monstrous first single, "We Are Young," which we're sure will find it's way back into your head from mere mention. Thanks to an absurd number of sales from iTunes and other digital outlets, the track has de-throned Kelly Clarkson's "What Doesn't Kill You (Stronger)," and now sits atop No. 1. There's a lot more to this than the overthrow of an American Idol, though -- gaining this spot makes fun. the first band to top the charts with a rock song since Coldplay's "Viva La Vida" back in 2008. This Village Voice blog post questions whether the victory is a shift in the currents of rock, or a mere fluke, and we'll leave you to form your own opinions on that one. We will, however, leave you with the chart-topper itself -- to, you know, help inform your decision.
