Cipher Drummer Danny Bobis Goes Missing
Long Island hardcore act Cipher are bracing together with the metal community in the wake of drummer Danny Bobis going missing in Indonesia, MetalSucks reports. Bobis, a school teacher in New York, was surfing on vacation with a friend and vanished in the sea.
“Danny had just taken a wave before me. I couldn’t see him, and a few minutes later, his board washed up on the shore," surfing partner Brian Lonergan, tells CNN. As the local Indonesian resources for a full-scare rescue search are limited, Bobis' family is paying for an expanded effort independently. To donate to the cause -- assisting with helicopter rentals, local searches, travel expenses -- the family asks generous folk to log in to PayPal and send money to dannybobisfund@gmail.com.
