Chantry (of the Cab) Premieres New Song "Me Oh My"
Singer/songwriter and independent producer Chantry—best known as the guitarist in pop rock outfit the Cab—makes his solo debut with his forthcoming EP, Now I Know.
Today, we're premiering a new single off the EP, "Me Oh My," which highlights the artist's innate ability to churn out hook after solid hook and back it all up with glossy production and solid pop rock instrumentals. From its infectious melodies and pop-inflected mentality to its fusion of guitars, piano, and chiming percussion, it's a welcome debut from a multi-instrumentalist who covers all ground and does so with heart.
"I like it this way. It's incredibly freeing to be able to write a song and take it where I want it to go...Where it NEEDS to go," says Chantry, who independently wrote, recorded, produced, mixed, and promoted the new EP. Fans of the Cab need not worry about his loyalties shifting, however. As Chantry says of this new project, "It's a whole other side of me that I want to explore and share with the world. I am equally as passionate about playing guitar for one music project as I am about being the frontman of another. I'm very blessed to have the opportunity to pursue both of those passions."
