Say Anything guitarists Jake and Jeff Turner established XO back in 2004, providing the brothers another outlet to expand upon their diverse musical influences (everything from the shoegazy soundscapes of My Bloody Valentine to the Krautrock grooves of Neu! to the sweet harmonies of the Beach Boys). Ten years later, the band just released their debut full-length album, Heart, on Rory Records, the Equal Vision Records' imprint founded by Say Anything frontman Max Bemis. Premiering exclusively today on PureVolume is the official music video for one of the album's stand-out tracks — watch "Sweet" above.

"It is about longing for someone's love," XO's Jeff Turner explained to PureVolume. "This song started off as a drum loop I would play over and over again. The beginning 'ooh's' were originally an idea I heard in a Curve song, 'Horror Head.' It's a love song in the vein of the Beach Boys 'Don't Talk (Put Your Head On My Shoulder).' I wanted the visual to represent the light I see when I hear the song."

Heart is available now on vinyl through the band's webstore and digitally on iTunes. Watch additional videos from the band's new album here.
