It's been a while since we last heard from singer/songwriter Michael Kiwanuka. In the four years since the release of his debut album, the British soul singer has gone a new route. Though the voice is the same, the songs from his upcoming sophomore album show a songwriter exploring different sonic spectres, which can be attributed to the album being produced by Danger Mouse. Kiwanuka shared his latest video, "Black Man in a White World," today, which is shot in black-and-white.
"I've always wanted to make an album that felt and sounded like this one," Kiwanuka says of the album. "Working with guys as good as Danger Mouse and Inflo really helped me find what I was looking for. I hope this is just the start of more music to come."
Michael Kiwanuka's Love & Hate will be released on May 27.
