The War On Drugs "Come to the City" MP3 by The FADER

The War on Drugs are a unique band that can balance modern textures and with a uniquely folky sense of psychadelia and tone. The Philadelphia band has been churning out pure rock and roll for years, with driving vocals and lush, transporting melodies. The FADER has a download of their new track, "Come to the City," and we had to share the love.

Building from an ethereal, breathy saxophone under the sea, "Come to the City" is classic War on Drugs, with a gallopping drumline and gravelly, classic rock vocals about ramblin' and driftin' and all the things you think you can only do in the country or the open road, but really can be done wherever you are.

The tune is off The War on Drugs' upcoming record, Slave Ambient, slated for an August 16th release on Secretly Canadian.
