The Summer Set get blunt in their new song, "Fuck U Over," which they've dropped today as both a lyric video and iTunes single release. This unapologetic tune doesn't cut any corners explaining to an ex-lover what the deal really was — basically, "We can rock the world tonight/but no it doesn't have to be love." At least they admit their actions could be hurtful ["I didn't wanna hurt nobody"] but at the end of the day, it all comes down to living wild and free. "This song is my sarcastic apology to all the girls in my life," explains lead singer Brian Dales. "A boy can dream about wanting to be Barney Stinson [of "How I Met Your Mother"], right? Sometimes guys just wanna have fun too. I hope you enjoy!"
"Fuck U Over" is the lead track off the band's forthcoming third album, out this spring via Fearless Records. Check it out and grab it via iTunes.
