It's always a treat when artists cover the greats, but it's even more of a treat when said artist is covering a track by their own favorite band. Thus is the case with the
Pains of Being Pure at Heart's newest offering, "Jeremy," originally by the Magentic Fields. "The Magnetic Fields might have been the last band I ever unconditionally loved without ever stopping to try to understand why," explains keyboardist Peggy Wang. "[They were] just the kind of love story I hoped to one day live through."
The band have crafted their own rendition of the indie-rock gem for an upcoming 7" single they plan to release October 9 via
Slumberland. The single will feature "Jeremy" as the A-side, with yet another band-favorite rounding out the flip — East River Pipe's "My Life Is Wrong." Spin "Jeremy" via the band's
