Tatiana Kochkareva Premieres "Lonely Girl" Video [Black Keys Cover]
Whether it's wandering through an eerie garden, or jamming out in a recording studio, Tatiana Kochkareva's videos are proving her to be as eclectic in performance as she is in vocals. In this new video for "Lonely Girl," she re-imagines The Black Keys' highly-acclaimed blues jam, "Lonely Boy," as a moody, piano-driven number. As Kochkareva explained, "What I love about 'Lonely Boy' is exactly what I didn't do in my version of their song. They made a somewhat depressing song fun, upbeat, and energetic. I explored the darker side of it." And explore, she did. Between her naturally rich and sultry vocals, the drawn out tempo, and a somewhat brooding quality, this version is effortlessly heavier and undeniably steeped in originality.
