Rookie of The Year's Along For The Ride weaves dreamy melodies and soft instrumentation to create a world where hearts are placed firmly on one's sleeve. Album opener "Chase" starts things off with big acoustics and a bittersweet mentality that recurs as the album progresses. "Light Years Away" perfectly highlights the carefully orchestrated guitar parts and melodies that bring life to the album, while "Dallas" -- which PV posted the new video of yesterday -- picks up on these orchestrations but tones 'em down for a low key love song. "Silent Words" introduces an ethereal quality, setting tranquil piano to the sounds of natural elements, while "Forever Yours" and "Diamond Lights" creates a sound both dreamy and heartfelt. In the end, this album proves that love -- even when lost -- can sound damned pretty.
