Ra Ra Riot will be ringing in the new year with a new album. The Syracuse-based indie rockers have announced the January 22 release of their third full-length, Beta Love, set to drop via Barsuk Records. The eleven-track effort channels the spirit of William Gibson's cyberpunk novels and was recorded in an unusual manner for the band — "on the fly." Recorded with producer Josh Feese in Oxford, Mississippi's Sweet Tea Studios, bassist Mathieu Santos recalled how "a lot of the creative decision-making happened in the studio." Quite a departure for a band that, as Santos attested, is "used to arriving at a session with every song totally arranged and figured out."

A new album isn't all they have in store, though. They will also be touring November through March alongside bands like Passion Pit, the Joy Formidable, Guards, and on one occasion, Vampire Weekend. Check out all the dates and details, and review Beta Love's full tracklisting, below.
