With a pedigree including members of Go Rydell, Protagonist, How Dare You and Direct Effect, Orlando, FL-based punks Teen Agers emerged last month with a debut album, I Hate It
, chock-full of propulsive and catchy-as-hell pop punk goodness. Recorded by Less Than Jake's Roger Lima and mixed by Stephen Egerton of Descendents and All, one of the album's standout tracks, "Here We Go Again," is making it's exclusive video premiere today on PureVolume. Watch the video above.
night back in March we met up with our good friend Chris Tharp at our local watering hole, Lizzy’s," the band revealed to PV. " Chris had just finished up production on a Matt Pond video, so we decided over one to many adult beverages that we’d join the rat race and make a video for 'Here We Go Again.' The idea for the video was one that evolved throughout the process, we shot the live band footage first with the idea that we were going to secret agents or something. When we went to shoot the 'acting' scenes, we decided we’d really give the viewer a mind f*ck by first seeing 'the girl' murdered, surveying the scene, but then when the data was analyzed, we'd noticed that in fact she ends up killing us, boom!
"We had a lot of friends that helped us making this video and the biggest shout outs go to Chris Tharp for putting up with our grumpy butts," the band continues. "And Alexandra Armenti for laying wrapped in a shower curtain in the mud for about three hours, haha! She was a real trooper."I Hate It is out now on CD, limited edition vinyl, and digitally via Anchorless Records.
