New York's Imaginary People have been releasing their music in an interesting way this year. Rather than culminating an EP or full-length album, the alt-rock quartet have released three singles, the most recent being "Gingerbread Girl." Today, we're excited to premiere the video for "Paris In Chains," one of its two b-sides. Old timey dancers light up the screen as tropical-tinged keyboard riffs pave the way for singer Dylan Von Wagner's wavering Eddie Vedder-esque vocals. Watch the black and white clip above.
“This video for ‘Paris In Chains’ is an homage to my wife’s family of dancers…" Von Wagner proclaims. "They’ve been keeping the ballroom tradition alive!”
"Gingerbread Girl" is out now via Five Five Diamonds and is available through iTunes. Word on the street is Imaginary People will be heading into the studio in January to record their debut full-length, expected next Spring. So keep your eyes (and ears) peeled for new music.
