Formed in 2012, the Traditional quickly emerged as one of the bands to watch from their native Buffalo. The band is back with a new EP following a three-year absence. The Queen of Heaven is the name of the six-song collection and from that, we're premiering "Thirty." The song is a good bellwether of what's to come from the trio. It's a no-frills, straight rocker that incorporates elements of traditional emo with heartfelt lyrics tackling relatable issues.
"'Thirty' is a song completely about me and how I felt about myself during the writing process," Anthony Musior says of the song. "These words just fucking poured out of me in one sitting. At the time I was partying my brains out and my emotions were all over the place. I was afraid of who I was and what I was going to do next. I moved on from that part of my life and hope this song helps people realize they're not alone in feeling this way and it gets better."
