Veteran rocker Pete Lynch has been exploring different sounds for years. Now, he has a new album on the way that will be released at the end of the week, and you can listen to it now. Kill the Monster is a blend of synth and alt rock that shows Lynch's heavy side, all while fearlessly moving forward.
"Writing and recording Kill The Monster felt like a fresh start, a new chapter," he says. "My goal was to deliver a clear and compelling album that invites you to discover a new favorite song every time you listen to it. I was determined to move forward, challenging myself to write as if this were my last record ever.
"Pushing myself, peeling off the layers, down to the core of every emotion, every story, every song. A process I really enjoyed, and I believe that also helped my songwriting skills mature. I feel very strongly about 'Kill The Monster' and am extremely proud of the album's atmosphere, depth and comforting mood. Fortunately Tim Palmer got onboard, and so the album also sounds exactly how I wanted it to sound. It has a subtle sense of spirituality expressed in 11 serious songs that I consider the strongest work I've ever done."
Pete Lynch's Kill the Monster is out on May 19. Pre-order the album here.
