There are fewer things better, in our opinion, than hearing two people play gritty rock. That's what Chicago-based duo Mr. Russia does. Their new video for "Shine On," shot in black-and-white has intense woodchipper riffs and heavy drumming that accentuates the rawness of their sound as demonstrated in a video form.
"'Shine On' was in no small part inspired by David Bowie's "Rock n' Roll Suicide," they explain. "I want to shine a light rather than curse the darkness. At shows we are often asked if 'Shine On' is intended to be a protest song. I prefer to leave it up to the listener's interpretation.
