Rising singer/songwriter Max Subar's songwriting is intricate as it is evocative. The Chicago native has a new EP on the way in a few weeks, and the latest song to emerge from that five-song collection showcases his vast talents. "Balcony" features his tender strumming, light drumming and texturized rhythms that express the thematic nature expressed in the lyrics.
"'Balcony' is about love’s ability to slow time and open us to a peace within," Subar explains. "Like most, this one was written on acoustic guitar but once I started recording and messing with sounds I discovered a lot of cool textures that helped further elevate the song’s meaning."
Max Subar's In a Dream is out on April 28.
