Orlando is known for a lot of things, most notably it's tourist spots, but certainly not its music scene. Kaleigh Baker is about to change that. With a booming voice reminiscent of Adele, yet a songwriting sensibility that's tougher and wiser than many out there, Baker's rough-and-tumble blues mantra sizzles when you throw in her jazzy sound. We're excited to premiere Baker's "Shoot Down," a song that best exemplifies the direction she's headed.
“This song was a collaboration between myself and Justin Beckler," Baker explains. "He sent me the backing track and while I was living in NYC, I hopped into a studio in SoHo and cranked out the melody in just a few hours. When things are right, they’re right. Just another song of a man trying to domesticate a mad woman."
Kaleigh Baker's Weary Hours will be out on October 16.
