Known for loud, heavy rock that packs a punch than a normal trio is capable of, Washington D.C.'s Caustic Casanova have battled back over the years from from injuries and member departures. Signed to Retro Futurist last year, the band is ready to unleash their first album in three years. Breaks finds the band with a new, bolder sound that teeters the line from experimental to melodic, sometimes both at the same time. You can hear Breaks in its entirety above three days before it's released.
"Breaks is the strangest, heaviest and most diverse Caustic Casanova album yet," says bassist/singer Francis Beringer. "All seven of these songs, incorporating elements of psych, prog, punk, noise, sludge metal and post-rock, sound unlike each other, yet cohere as a record to form a style and sensibility that hopefully strikes listeners as totally unique to this band."
Caustic Casanova's Breaks it out Friday via Retro Futurist.
