Blue Blood's sound is far different than what the pedigree of their name would imply. The Georgia band's smattering of instrumentation manifests itself on the laid back vibes of "Anonymous Blues." The tune features an assortment of sounds to create a fluid arranagement that oozes fun, even if the lyrics indicate otherwise.
"'Anonymous Blues,' is a great representation of the whole album in that it juxtaposes a fun, playful vibe against lyrics that are kind of lonely and searching for answers," singer Hunter Morris says. "I wrote the initial idea of this song in my head while feeling really lonely even though I was in the middle of a crowd of people. For whatever reason I thought that whole notion was hilarious even though it kind of bummed me out, and I think the song captures those conflicting feelings really well. And then after a while I just got drunk and had a blast hanging out with myself in the middle of a crowd."
Blue Blood's Pretty Wars is out on June 23 via Laser Brains.
