Owl City has been on everybody's radar these days. He's gearing up to drop the dance-happy, pop friendly The Midsummer Station [out August 21], has been ruling the airwaves with his new single "Good Time" featuring Carly Rae Jepsen, and from the looks of it, he doesn't appear to be slowing down any time soon. We caught up with the man behind the band, Adam Young, to talk about the objective approach he took with this new album, his work with Matt Thiessen of Relient K, and the surprising story behind the album's surreal artwork. We've broken the interview up into two segments, so watch part one right now, and stay tuned for part two next week. Should you find yourself craving even more OC once this video wraps, go read our PV Q&A with Young.
